With the Jungfrau Travel Pass you pay only a connection ticket: CHF 89 in summer, from CHF 63 in winter. The Half Fare Card is valid on the whole network. The Swiss Travel Pass covers the train to Grindelwald, Wengen and Lauterbrunnen and gives about 25 percent on the rest, so the figure is clearly higher than with a Half Fare Card. Prices for summer 2027 are not published yet. More on the pass in our Jungfrau Travel Pass guide.

How to save money

Five things that actually change the bill.

Use a Half Fare Card

From Interlaken Ost it saves CHF 130.60 in summer (271.20 to 140.60) and CHF 112.20 in winter before 13 December (224.40 to 112.20).

Go in the cold season

From Interlaken Ost the winter fare is CHF 45.60 to 46.80 lower than the summer fare including reservation. Weather matters more than price on the day, see best time to visit.

Compare passes with plain tickets

A regional pass pays off only if you use many other lifts and trains. Do the sum first, see the worked examples.

Buy children's cards

The child travel card costs CHF 30 and replaces a full ticket for a child aged 6 to 15.

Start where you sleep

Tickets are cheaper from Grindelwald and Wengen than from Interlaken Ost in summer. From 13 December Wengen is the lowest at CHF 200.00. See where to stay.
